TOG means ‘Thermal Overall Grade’ and refers to the measurement of warmth for a given fabric. This is especially important to consider for products such as sleep suits and bedding so that your baby is comfortable and does not overheat or become too cold.

You’ll also need to consider factors such as the ambient temperature of your baby’s environment (eg: bedroom), how many layers your baby will be wearing, and his or her overall physiology - a TOG that is appropriate for one child may be too warm for another child who tends to run hot.

As a guide, the higher the TOG, the warmer the fabric. Please read the table below to determine the appropriate TOG rating for your baby’s needs. You will find the TOG rating listed on all our products.
